POILLY (Nicolas Jean-Baptiste)

After having learnt to be an engraver in Rome, he came back there to improve his knowledge and engraved the ?Martyrdom of St Cecilia? after Zampierri and the ?Portrait of Clement XI?. He was admitted to the Royal Academy on July 20th, 1714. He already had a huge reputation and was working mostly at the Cabinet CROZAT.
